A lot of people have interacted, and everyone's been kind and friendly
And I noticed, any time I have a sneaky look at one of your profiles, it's all anti-fascist! Trans rights! BLM! Anti-capitalist! Feminist! etc.
Which is another reason I love it here
Is it the cat pictures that bring out the kind and progressive people? Is there a connection? Or am I just lucky?

It's very hard to monetise anything in the Fediverse, so all those who value money over people, find little of interest here.
They go away, saying it's complicated and difficult to use the Fediverse because it doesn't work for them.

Here there are no annoying algorithms that sentence you into an echo chamber, that's why all sorts of different people read your toots. -

@rufustheduck But point also is that the media give it that simple, deceiving label.
A better descriptor would include, if not unwieldy doing so, the brain atrophying effects of using FB.
