The whole situation is morally indefensible. This baby is only one of thousands of helpless children wrongly incarcerated by US government. -

@wdlindsy She's overstayed her visa, got convicted, sentenced, and released on parole, now living comfortably under house arrest doing Dancing with the Stars appearances and such. No valid visa and no deportation in sight... But she's a celebrity, I guess?

The fact of detention and having the power to detain anyone for any or no reason is the point. Trump wants the rationale to become irrelevant.
