    Looks like Palantir may have fallen into the Streisand trap;

    in seeking their right to reply (under Swiss media law) via the courts, they have drawn a lot more attention to two articles (based on Freedom of Information requests) that reveal why the Swiss state refused to do a deal with Palantir for some military software; they were worried data would be obtained by the US Govt.

    Now a story, originally limited to the Swiss is gaining traction across Europe; oops.

    @ChrisMayLA6 This has been in the Swiss press. Striking to see their concern about their security and confidentiality.

              They'll just use their algorithms to identify and explode another "drug" ship as a distraction and everything will be back on track in a jiffy.

                @ChrisMayLA6 The irony of Palantir a company built on 'intelligence' accidentally boosting the exact story they wanted to bury is just perfect. It’s a classic Streisand effect. Honestly, it’s refreshing to see Swiss authorities actually drawing a line at data sovereignty. If they’re worried about US government access, it makes you wonder just how deep those hooks really go. Thanks for sharing this, definitely a 'grab the popcorn' moment for tech policy.

                    @ChrisMayLA6 Good. Palantir is a corrupting and malignant influence, and Peter Thiel never, never passes up a chance to throw in with Fascists.

                      @ChrisMayLA6 the real story is the Swiss were not corrupted, whereas the British government gave Palantir a number of sweetheart contracts without even competitive bidding.

                      In a twist you couldn’t make up if you tried, the head of Palantir UK is Louis Mosley, grandson of Oswald Mosley, founder of the British Union of Fascists.

                        @humanhorseshoes @ChrisMayLA6 no, his nephew. But yes, the (rotten) apples don't fall far from the Mosley/Mitford tree.
