      @queenofhatred heh, I end up having extreme experiences when I try to do these in Impress or Powepoint, too used to LaTeX with Beamer. At least Beamer is a significantly different way to do slides, so I'm not surprised by that.

      (It goes well beyond being able to type it as code - stuff like being able to enter text without having to do positioning by hand or using \pause a lot aren't (AFAIK) easy to replicate in these graphical tools. I had some hope that their "outline"(?) mode (where you see just text, condensed) could allow that, but I never experimented enough to find out if that was in any way possible.)

      (Are you using Beamer or something else?)
