@EUCommission the move should be to exclude *ALL* AI assistants from Whatsapp but the EU is unable to stand up to tech-billionaires

MetaAI is currently the only game in town for WhatsApp users.

We've notified Meta of possible interim measures to reverse exclusion of third-party AI assistants from WhatsApp.

In Europe, dominant tech companies cannot be allowed to abuse their market power for unfair advantage.

@erio7 @EUCommission personally I wouldn't give the choice because AI as a whole should be banned in Europe

@richardisaguyyyy @EUCommission YES PLEASE. "NONE AT ALL" *must be a choice* (and frankly should be the DEFAULT, given that that AI data is more than likely going outside the EU...)

@EUCommission What about the right to completely DISABLE all ai assistants? Right now that's impossible, but I also have the right to NOT use them.

@EUCommission what about the right to turn off AI? Shouldn't it be my right to control what my data is used for?

@EUCommission What about Whatsapp being the only game in town for Whatsapp users?

Having enforced cross-compatibility between messaging apps would avoid such monopolies to begin with!

@EUCommission I’ve been waiting for third-party apps that can communicate with WhatsApp users - as soon as it becomes available, I’m getting rid of WhatsApp and using an alternative.
