Having the leak sensor paid off.

I’d managed to just jam some of the washing in the door - enough that it made it leak thru the small gap in the seal, not enough that the machine had a chance to detect. Not too much water but this was placed right in the path that it ran down so was fast.

The washer does have its own leak sensor stuff tho! If it detects its filling but doesn’t hit the required level (it meters the water going in - I see that in HA too) then it stops filling and throws an alarm/error code. But that’d have been more water than this sensor picked up.
