We use it WEEKLY, and yes, it makes outstanding popcorn.

A small size one I inherited from my mother ages ago (it was a wedding gift from her sister). A larger model was then gifted to me years later by another very dear family member.

And just this past holiday season, I found another and gifted it to my oldest child, who is getting married this summer! She was almost in tears when she opened the box.

It's a huge part of our family stories and traditions/mythology. It's so fun, having people over, sitting down to watch a movie or play games together, serving some popcorn. After one bite, they exclaim, "My god, this is amazing."

If you began the first lecture of every course you teach with this speech, you might be surprised. We hide in plain sight. It is possible to be a keener and also be strategic about letting a little air into the room.

Was just reading this today as part of our school's in-service day work, focusing on social justice in our educational practices.

It was an ah-ha moment for me to remember that "the abolition
movement was the foundation of virtually all social justice movements in the U.S." We would all do well to study it, I think.

It’s true, that is how we want to be and how we see ourselves. We are also a people for whom the laws are not equally applied. Justice for some but never for all. We can’t forget that, either.

I'll bet you are, Chris. Up to about ten minutes ago, you were running your campaign on a platform of fighting fraud, (there wasn't any, it was always a pretext), public safety (the public was safe... until now) and support for police (yeah that's not gonna play well, is it Chris? better be "pragmatic").

I'm seeing a lot less spine and a lot more "uh-oh."
