I was lucky, born and raised in California. Came out late in life, 22 years ago I came out at work. Being trans is not easy, 3/4 of the Trans people I knew are now dead from suicide or drug overdoses. The only advice I can give is to get all your documents drivers license, birth certificate and your financials in order, new name and sex, the last document I need is my passport.
