@Chigaze oh no worries then. An xfx Rx 7600 would be more than enough. You could also look into the Intel ARC cards. Anything with at least 8 gigs from AMD or Intel will probably work fine, although going to 16 gigs is good if you can afford it for better performance and future proofing. The RX 9060 XT is a good choice and not overly expensive.

I'm not down on Nvidia and as their open source driver support improves I may start recommending them more, but unless you're into high-end gaming they're just not worth the potential hassle on Linux systems yet.

And like I said, any reasonably modern CPU should be fine. My Ryzen 9 7900x is probably overkill for me, and I actually do run some intensive stuff. Any Intel i7 or AMD Ryzen 8/9 from the last few years will do ya'.

(Edit - sorry, getting used to a new keyboard app…)

@Chigaze light gaming means different things to different people, but assuming you don't wanna play the latest AAA at max spec… I'm gonna recommend AMD graphics cards. I have a Radeon 7800 xt, which might be more than you need, but works wonderfully.

For your processor, it's best to just get an Intel or AMD that didn't just come out last week. Anything not bleeding edge should work fine.

Did you have any specific concerns or questions? Are you building from the ground up, or are you.looking for something prebuilt?

@Chigaze it's hard to make recommendations without a use case. What are you going to be using the computer for, primarily, and if gaming is involved, what sort of games?
