The culture changes in tech drove me out: Annual performance reviews with stress levels like job interviews, executives lying about back to office being 'better' and doubling down when many posted data proving otherwise, how the burden of managing broken things falls to the few who have little power to change the cycle, and how to spite my excellent resume and experience job hunting we becoming harder and harder.

I ran the numbers many times. Had my advisor run the numbers, then got out. I don't miss it and I know I'm lucky and privileged.
