It looks like a January heatwave is right around the corner, and it's worth remembering that they're pretty common.@DavidM_yeg @yegwxnerdery Normal includes all sorts of events, such as thaws. People really don't understand this it all. It's normal to have some unusually warm days and some unusually cold ones. etc etc...

I'm back in front of students today.I'm back in front of students today. I co-teach a first-year course for all students at #UVic called, "Climate Change".
One comment from last term was that the course was too depressing. I really tried, but it is indeed quite depressing.
Another comment: "Ed had an amazing t–shirt collection, and at times I would miss instructions because I was so captivated by them."
