@EllenInEdmonton Sure, all of those things are dumplings... but kasha varnishkes isn't stuffed anything. It's just a big pile of kasha and bowtie pasta, with caramelized onion and sometimes mushroom. Like a pilaf.

Though kasha varnishkes isn't dumplings, I have had kasha knishes.. which is kind of like dumplings? Not really, lol.

I'd never made kasha varnishkes before and now that I have, I've emailed mom to ask if she has grandma's recipe. Because what I made was good, and it was almost right, but it wasn't *exactly* what I remember from my childhood.

...and mom just replied saying "she probably followed the recipe on the back of the Wolff's box" so I guess I can do whatever I want now

@Vidyala Wintertime is citrus time! We got a bag of clementines and they are so juicy. Sweet and tart at the same time. They taste like sunshine.
