@IanAMartin @giflian the space was well equipped with cat climbing furniture and fixtures on the walls for them. The cafe are really good at a) providing an interesting environment for the cats/kittens and b) allowing them to get away from human interaction if they want to

@giflian @IanAMartin only time I went to a cat cafe was in a room full of kittens. It was great.

@thegiddystitcher I think she still does some things that go off to others to do. She always used to get cushions and blankets printed, which were great. Thing about my aunt though is that she's a perfectionist and wants control over the whole process, which I can't say I blame her, she’s very proud of her work

@thegiddystitcher I'll get to work dropping hints. Mind you, she's moving a lot of her item production in house so I guess it depends on whether she can print on such things.

I know I'm stating the obvious here to people who already get it, but I needed to vent because I accidentally saw some news, which is a bad idea.

I mean, the answer really is about control, and about the demographics that politicians are happy to exert control over. Kids/ordinary people? Absolutely fine, crack on. Wanky tech bros who see nothing wrong with polluting the world with their shite? No, they shouldn't be held back.

If you're so worried about what kids see on social media, how about going after the social media companies hosting this abhorrent shit, rather than going after the kids?

@clew @katemorley so the Millennium Dome was built originally to house an exhibition celebrating the new millennium in 2000. There were all sorts of different areas about culture, science, etc including things like a giant human body you could walk through, with interactive things like the heart beating. If I remember right, if you screamed at it, the heart rate went up. All sorts of interesting things.

@katemorley the original stuff in the millennium dome was so exciting. Although the concert venue is nice, I kinda want the original back.
