Please make it clear that Congress has not allocated any funds for President Trump’s “Board of Peace” and has no plans to do so.

Congress has the power of the purse; the Executive branch is constitutionally obligated to execute the budget as Congress directs. No funds have been appropriated for a "Board of Peace."

Yet this Republican Administration announced that the US would be providing $10 billion in funds for his “Board of Peace” (the same amount he is suing the U.S. government).

Just say “No” to Trump’s Board of Peace. It is not a real organization. It has no authority.

Please stand up to this Administration on this and every other illegal thing they attempt to do. Your constituents are paying attention.

I've seen the continued reports out of the DHS detention facilities. I've seen the continued videos of DHS in Minnesota and the behavior of DHS officers in Portland and Los Angeles.

If any senior official of this Republican Administration was serious about reforming ICE, they would have ordered a full stand-down of all activity for retraining. They have not. Most of them won't publicly say that DHS officers are doing anything wrong.

Voting to fund DHS is giving DHS explicit permission to continue what they are doing -- beating, dragging, shooting, and murdering bystanders, tear-gassing children, deliberately freezing people, and then lying about all of it.

DHS's cruelty isn't one or two events by outliers. This cruelty is systemic. This cruelty is the point.

Do not give my tax dollars to fund this cruelty.

How many more people will be subjected to this cruelty before you stand up and say no? Please ask all of your colleagues this question.

Then please remember the promises this Republican Administration made about the ACA and healthcare. This Republican Administration lied about fixing healthcare for ordinary Americans.

They are lying again when they tell you they will reform DHS.

They won't -- unless you deny DHS a budget.

President Trump has called for Republicans to “nationalize the voting.” This is a direct threat to constitutional governance, and your constituents need to hear you defend the Constitution loudly and repeatedly.

I’m not arguing policy. At issue is a fundamental question of whether we'll honor the constitutional structure that delegates election administration to the states. That authority cannot be seized by executive fiat or even congressional action; it can happen only by amending the Constitution itself.

The pretext for this power grab—claims of widespread voting by non-citizens—has been thoroughly debunked. A Brookings analysis of Heritage Foundation data reveals the truth: for example, in a 25-year period in Arizona, 36 fraudulent votes accounted for 0.0000845% of ballots cast across 36 elections. Voter fraud is not altering election outcomes.

The federal government, via laws and court rulings, has limited authority over federal elections. Our state and local officials run secure elections. What we urgently need are leaders willing to say so publicly and to draw a clear line against unconstitutional federal overreach.

Will you honor your oath of office and commit to speaking out against efforts to centralize election authority in defiance of the Constitution?
