I also like how they customize the electronics for your situation, and the bouquet arrangement to allow symbiotic interactions among a group of turbines. A bouquet of Flower Turbines as a “wall” of a solar pavilion would be neat.

@susankayequinn @weezmgk @czds we can’t recommend these yet. Too new. Generic, through Amazon (couldn’t find anything like them elsewhere). They were advertised as 500W but labeled as 100W. The label also said 4 blades, but they have the expected three. We’ll post more this summer, when we have more data. They are about as noisy as a newer dishwasher.

@susankayequinn @weezmgk @czds less than a month after we moved into our new home, we had a four day ice storm in 2021 February, and a four day power outage as the ice pulled down power lines faster than the local PUD could repair them. That’s when we made modular, expandable #BESS a priority, with the EV part of the strategy. Took time: buy a little, save, buy more. Now we also have a small solar photovoltaic (8x410W panels) and vertical axis wind turbines generators (5x500W)

@weezmgk @susankayequinn the Anker f3800 & f3800Plus system @czds and I have allows us to add in our Ioniq5 battery either by disconnecting one f3800 at a time and using 120V AC V2L to charge it and its expansion battery, or by putting the car in Utility mode and plugging the Anker adapter cable for the car’s 12V power outlet into the DC XT60 input of the f3800s, making the EV part of the system. So far, the longest outage we’ve had was >10 hours but we didn’t need the EV battery.
