@barrengroundcoffee 2/2 my own two cents is that fediverse communities like ours will do well to tie themselves closely to physical communities as much as possible. In a way, we’re striving to offer a virtual equivalent of what you offer with your cafe. Our authenticity and mutual accountability is our strength and It’s the antithesis of the corporate social media experience. Participation of businesses like yours makes us more relevant and useful to local users. There’s lots to say about this.

Big appreciation to @Jeremy for building, promoting, and maintaining nwt.social.@barrengroundcoffee 1/2 ah thanks you guys. It’s great that you’re willing to take a chance on a new platform. Your question is pretty timely. @ZebKing @paulbusch @smattymatty and others have been talking about this recently in developing our fediverse engagement approach. @evan, @votetanille, @avilewis and @tonymcquailgreenprogressive may well have thoughts on this too. Can you guys see the original post?
