@jamie @Azuaron @fsinn exactly, if law looked only at the content in disk and didn't consider intent then things would become silly very fast. An encrypted copy of Disney's latest movie also doesn't contain the movie by itself, and that never stopped Disney lawyers.

@flying_saucers @jwildeboer I was positively surprised by the first round. I always expected the initial favourite Gouveia e Melo to tank once the campaign started, but I thought media favourite Marques Mendes would get to the second round easily, since he had been preparing the public narrative for 10 years now. Ventura was always going to lose the 2nd round. He has a dedicated cult around him that always show up, but has a massive rejection rate in the rest of the population.

@jwildeboer I'm happy with the result but really disappointed with some emigrant communities. Ventura got an overwhelming majority among Portuguese emigrants in countries like Switzerland (71%) and France (64%), and the "we are better than Nepalese immigrants in Portugal" and "we somehow got it harder despite other European countries rolling a red carpet for us" speeches make my blood boil.
