#Trump seizes #Venezuela with zero Congress oversight.

Trump says the US will run the country…in part because the Nobel Peace Prize Committee gave the award to a Venezuelan opposition leader, Maria Corina #machado , not him.

Trump then says that Venezuela will only be allowed to use a fraction of funds that US oil companies plunder from the country. But they can only spend it in the shop called ‘USA’.

This is Soviet war and economic policy, presumably straight from Trump’s master, Putin.

A senior UK government source said: ‘This was a decision by the US [invading #Venezuela and abducting its leader]. It is not for us make a judgment on whether it was lawful’

So it’s very clear that #Starmer is completely under #Trump’s thumb. No surprise there…but it just makes clear how morally weak and technologically stupid the leadership of the UK is. Starmer is still desperate for a trade deal with a fascist state and to sell us out wholesale to the tech bros.
