I traveled to the south of Sweden today. And this one turned up totally unexpectedly when I was looking for moorhens and little grebes.
Walking around casually along a little stream next to the river.
So cool! 🤎

Was out on a quick birding trip during lunch today and met another birder. An elderly lady.
She asked me what I did. I told her that I’m a programner. She said: Me too!
So naturally we talked for a bit.

I briefly mentioned AI and that I hope there is still value in the knowledge and experience I have. She quickly responded: The whole AI thing is bullshit! It will not go away but it’s clearly over-hyped. Don’t you worry!

Made my day. For several reasons. 🥹

Birthday today so here’s the cutest mandarin duck I met recently.

This one was hanging out with about three hundred mallards. As far as I could tell they were being nice to each other.
Maybe they thought ”cute!” as well? 🥹
