Welp, this might be the best one yet: #iOS #SpeechToText decided to transcribe my words as "trans #bannock" rather than "trans panic."

That's wild! I never really thought about that sort of substitution before (then again I don't cook -- but your desceiption reminds me of when I use Y instead of X when I'm making something because Y has the same properties of X so I know it will work just fine
).
I don't know what it is like now but I remember visiting a major grocery store in Indiana once in the 1990s and was stunned at how most of the fruits and veggies looked like here in the 1970s -- zero cultural foods of any sort, as far as I could tell.

Hoo boy, no kidding re browser searches being significantly worse than pretty much ever. I mean, prior to the big G deploying heuristic-based searches I was used to having to remember how Americans spell/name things to find stuff, but at least if I found something it seemed to stand a good chance of being genuinely useful, not SEO or AI garbage.
In retrospect I realise that watching a #TimeTeam episode shortly prior to that week's appointment that happened to uncover the remains of cannibalism -- and their explanation of how they can determine that from human remains, may hace influenced the timing of my query. Then again, a ridiculously broad range of topics seems to stick around close-ish to the surface of my brain, so I'd probably have gotten around to the question at some point regardless.

Yay for delicious foods!

PS: I'm glad your balcony 'freezer' did as needed! Hope the bone broth is great.

Quasi-related, I had my first-ever bone marrow #biopsy recently. Turns out the specialist doing the biopsy had never had anyone ask (as I did), "With times being the way they are these days, do humans have enough #BoneMarrow to bother eating our neighbours if things get really bad?"
He laughed but also said he didn't know β¦ and while this was (on my part) entirely intended to be a profession-related quirky bit of trivia to glean, now I am fretting over whether I should risk a browser search to satisfy my curiousity!

I'm glad your sidewalks are clear! Surprisingly, our landlords have been far more prompt than usual with snowclearing, and definitely have done a better job than most winters.
Alas, it's still not nearly timely enough for anyone who requires wheeled mobility devices and of course, random households along the way are sometimes even worse.
Every time I feel well enough to shop at this time of the year, I feel like I'm buying for the entire winter* just to ensure I can make it through a long stint of no snow removal (and I'm on crutches, so technically CAN walk around but then have no hands for hauling said groceries inside).
*insofar as AISH's woefully not-updated-since-the-Notley-government can, given ongoing grocery and OTC medical items constantly rising in price.

Other than the sudden swing above zero and the rainfall (srsly, TODAY we had some rain that hit 'red' volume on #EnvironmentCanada's weather radar???!?) I've been enjoying the heck out of freshly drifting memories of youthful snowfall and childhood play.
Hopefully we'll continue to have some proper winter for years to come!
