If we're already gonna eat animals and their products, can we at least make it so the animals suffer as little as possible while they're alive?

Trans women can do whatever they want forever@icantchangethisname Counterproof: I can't transform into a cisspecies meltcat despite wanting to

I am altersex.@Impossible_PhD I can see parallels to my own experience as a transspecies (and transgender at the same time) person. Your experience is about body material, as far as I understood it, mine is about species.
I'm a fem meltcat in a male human body (technically actually at least 20 meltcats in one body, but we usually act as a unit), which is a species where there aren't even any known cisspecies individuals on Earth. Meltcats are a catlike species that can melt into shapeable slime. A description of meltcats can be found here: https://void.lgbt/notice/Ax2BzWrLd7NTJXCh9M
My main theory is that cisspecies meltcats are aliens, but my souls might also be longitudinal (forward/backward) or transverse (parallel timelines) time travelers, or a crossbreed of biologically incompatible species's souls such as cats and slime molds.
I get serious species dysphoria that intersects with gender dysphoria (meltcats likely have no biologically assigned sex because they can shapeshift, softer fur than human body/facial/pubic hair, digitigrade feet (I hate my male human feet both for their size and plantigrade-ness), and more).
A full species transition is my greatest wish. Though I would probably already be very happy with a synthetic modular furry catgirl body, which would give me the felinity and shape-changing (by plugging different body parts) aspects, and which I can just barely imagine happening within the lifespan of my current meat prison. Every night I'm desperately hoping for a miracle where I'll wake up as a cisspecies meltcat. -
oh right my uncle fucking died last night@vega Oh, that definitely seems more like a tragedy situation. *Purrs and offers hugs* -
Considering to reduce my LLM use for Kittyscript development from low to full zero, by uninstalling the Github Copilot extension from my personal IntelliJ.Considering to reduce my LLM use for Kittyscript development from low to full zero, by uninstalling the Github Copilot extension from my personal IntelliJ. (IntelliJ IDEA is a Java/Kotlin IDE by Jetbrains, Kittyscript's bootstrap implementation is written in Kotlin)
I've only been using it because my employer pays for it, and I only accept code completions that are equivalent to what I would have written anyway, if it's close enough I would accept and then manually edit to equal my intent. I only used it to save myself physical keystrokes, it didn't let it take any thinking or creative duties. All I allowed it to do was guess what I was going to write manually otherwise.
I enjoy writing the code in my head, the only part I consider tedious is the act of taking the characters from my head to the keyboard. (Maybe it's because I never really learned to touch type, in part because of my meat prison's large hands) -
oh right my uncle fucking died last night@vega Is it more of a tragedy or a "good riddance" situation? (I don't know how positive your relationship to that uncle was)
