@campuscodi ffs...
... this circle jerk of a circus in acquiring real hardware with make believe money is... quite the circus.
Would be nice if we can restore this timeline to a previously recorded snapshot, no?
Of course, that's the easy part. You did all the hard work of producing something worth sharing.
It is I who should be thanking you! 🥰

@GossiTheDog "Claude will work autonomously to solve whatever problem I give it. So it’s important that the task verifier is nearly perfect, otherwise Claude will solve the wrong problem."
Let me get this straight. We task the AI to program for us, but in order for that to work we have to spend time writing near perfect test-cases in order for it to work.
What's our experience with defining "exact" and "near perfect" test-cases? Exactly. We are near perfect at being rubbish at writing near perfect test cases.
I look forward to this future.
@leavex And... here's the official story of a rather famous (no judgement if good or bad) politician leaving X. He was also the first one to reply to my request.

(In Swedish)
@renchap Yes, I was made aware of that... but hopefully the conversation/email will trigger thoughts and requests for something to happen.
But yes... it's a challenge this whole instance selection thing. Blessing and a curse from a UX perspective.
@renchap I've been almost inclined to just set one up myself and once there's enough traction hand ownership over to someone that can run it "officially".
I've been much impressed by https://masto.host and was thinking of just forking out enough to run an instance that could "collect" the Swedish politicians, give them a home an place and limit registrations to only official addresses etc.
Just talking about it makes me ... why am I just talking, I should just do it and well... see what happens. Perhaps nothing, perhaps all the things!
@leavex Although I just learned that the instance I'm pointing to is not open for all... certainly complicates things, but perhaps my message will to some extent make them think of alternatives.
But it does begs the question... who will offer them a place to go? I almost feel inclined to setup a new Mastodon instance on masto.host and at least offer them a place to go ...
Here's what I wrote (translated from Swedish to English):
---
Hey,
I'm fully aware that you receive tons of emails every day, and the likelihood that you'll both read and act on this is small. But I have to try.
You have an account on X, the platform owned by Elon Musk. The platform that spreads child sexual abuse material (CSAM) that fosters far-right views, and that uses algorithms to control the narratives in our society.
Please, leave X.
Instead, create an account on the official Mastodon instance:
https://ec.social-network.europa.eu
It's a democratic platform without algorithms, without investors who own the conversations. It's a platform for citizens, for politicians, for us, together.
Please, come there! And let me know when you've switched, and I promise to follow and say hi!
/ Christoffer
And the first politician has now replied saying that he will "do that very soon".
So one down, hopefully more to follow!
Thank you @leavex or whomever built the leavex.eu website which easily enabled me to contact my political brothers and sisters.
You just empowered me to do something about X. Gratefulness all around!
RE: https://social.vivaldi.net/@everton137/115943535275994559
I wrote a message to the Swedish EU politicians urging them to leave X and suggest that they instead join the official EU Mastodon instance to truly support democratic values.
Let's see. 22 people have been emailed.
