@statsguy Exactly. And the more that do, the more likely an outbreak is. The reason why it didn’t spread further is due to vaccination teams outreaching into affected communities.

This is a huge mark of shame for the UK.@statsguy The reasons are complex, with one of the reasons being who administers vaccines which will vary from place to place, eg some use health visitors, some immunisation teams, some still are based in GPs etc.

Some good news in a time of darkness: the European wildcat, Felis sylvestris, is making a comeback!@peterbrown @johncarlosbaez @vfrmedia There was a small group of probable wildcats in Caithness when I was there that you always used to see close to one particular farm up a track. However, I guess it would be very likely that they would have bred with domestic cats at some point, although they all looked the same. Rabbits have also mixed with pet ones too, hence the odd black rabbit in the wild.
