I love dogs, but this really irks me. I'm walking on a narrow coastal path, a large dog comes bounding straight up causing me to abruptly stop & turn my back to him clearly uncertain of a strange large dog. Owner comes up & laughingly says,
"He's rather exuberant!"
My reply,
"But I didn't know that."
No apology at any stage. I'm afraid I don't find that as amusing as his owner. Grrrr!
