sometimes i just like to think up some little ways that us regular folk in society could hold them accountable. its not enough of course, but it would be more than what is currently happening, which is <checks notes>, absolutely nothing
"hi folks in the gate area, we're ready to start boarding our flight, and as a reminder we board by groups, so please do check out which group you are in prior to making your way to the gate. and without further ado, we'd like to start with group A, that's our first class and elite passengers, who were not named in the epstein files."
@newsguyusa accountability of a US person for being in the Epstein files imagine that
Bailey is judging you for using the word “Agentic” unironically
had a good conversation earlier that went something like this:
them: “is AI making pentesting easier?”
me: “yes.”
them: “why, because you can use it to look for vulnerabilities in code quicker?”
me: “no, because it generates vulnerabilities in code quicker”
Seattle PD Scanner: "hey so there's a furry on top of the 7/11 with a sword."
“what happened to your AI girlfriend?”
“we broke up, she said she needed space and i wasn’t willing to uninstall flight simulator”
100% Superbowl winning record since electing a progressive mayor, just sayin’ #seattle
how was there a competition to see who could go downhill the fastest and the USA didn’t even make the top three? it’s like our thing
The CEO of Puget Sound Energy made $11.7 million last year.
I have very deliberately been trying to consume less electricity over the past 6 months or so, because the bills are getting out of control.
Despite not using anywhere near as much electricity as we did the same period a year ago (it was a noticeable cut), the bill is still around $200 higher than what I was paying before.
Ran the numbers, and over the last 3 years, the rates have increased by 50%.
All this to say, go fuck yourselves, Puget Sound Energy.
as suspected, clean
desperately waiting for news from a coworker who was due to give birth today so i can make my push to prod joke
wow, the CIA has sunset the world factbook
I guess it shouldn't be a surprise in a world where facts are no longer important, but still

one time i was at a 911 call center doing some work
i noticed all the operators had mechanical keyboards, so i decided to be clever and ask one - “mechanical keyboards, is that because they are easier to use on long shifts or easier to maintain?”
she looked at me and said, “erm, i think most of us just enjoy the clicky clacks”
what a fool i had been. i too enjoy the clicky clacks.
whenever i do security audit work on site, there are two tools that always come with me these days, such are the times in which we live:
1) modified orbic hotspot running eff’s rayhunter, to flag stingray devices in proximity
2) tiny little esp32 running flock-you, the flock camera detector, so i can let folks know they are close by

two little bits of gear running great open source projects that can expose the unseen risks that may be floating around out there
Congratulations to all the SpaceX engineers and scientists who will now have to qualify wether they are the rocket building or CSAM producing division of the company when asked where they work.
