IMHO (In My Humble Opinion): It shouldn't be "Getting of US-Tech", it should be "Getting of proprietary tech".@jwildeboer Agreed!
We also can't let perfect be the enemy of good here.
Open tech > Closed EU tech > US-controlled tech
As a general guideline, I also think closed small companies > closed large companies.
