As soon as parts of the constitution became irrelevant or outdated, rich and powerful people, having interests in those aspects of the constitution, made sure it was updated and relevant. (tax, corporate law, etc)But certain parts of it, such as the 2nd amendment, labor laws, etc, were left alone so as to be able to be "interpreted" today, like the christians "interpret" the bible.
