Finding a job is like dating — both parties need to be in a search mode, and be present in the action. If you're looking for a long term relationship, you should approach the process with full honesty.
I read everywhere that direct job notices are dying a slow death because the mass of applications received is extreme in this age of AI. The ratio of gold to sand is very very low, and enrichment from this low quality ore is expensive.
People are moving towards direct contacts, mainly over social networks like LinkedIn or HackerNews "Who's hiring / Who wants to be hired" monthly posts, #FediJobs and such. Existing trust networks are essential, recommendations and introductions are key.
In my level and width of experience it is practically impossible to find a pre-crafted position which fits me. So I need to find an organization which is ready to be flexible and create a position for me.
It becomes less of a question of whether there is a role fit, but whether I can help the organization in making their vision happen.
I have still not committed in my next steps, so let's talk!
I would be interested in any ambitious AI play, and specifically I am passionate about physical AI, robotics, medtech and data in general.
