Europe has no monopoly on racism. Racism is the belief that one race is superior to another.

You do not even have to hate the other race. If you believe a race is superior to another then or racist. Even if you are not part of your alleged superior race. You can even like the other race yet feel they are inferior and you are still a racist.

Overt racism is rampant in America and that is easier for me to deal with as I just shut them out. They advertise what they are so it is easy to know I do not want to have anything to do with them. Covert racism is much more common and it is not just the minority groups that suffer from this form of racism. Many of our population are extremely racist against whites. Even many whites. They see us as inferior in many cases. This makes them a racist. We also have a huge issue with misandry. Misandrists are very common as well. Though people are bound to call you a racist if you point out that their behavior is racist. I have had that happen more than once. I have no tolerance for racism in any form. Not even against white people. So I block all racist propaganda from our instance the moment I see it.

No LLM can browse or fetch things from online. The process of training LLMs with data from online requires that you download the information yourself and then use it to train the LLM. Downloading this data can be a done via a bot or manually. The training process can done in many ways and I will not get into that here but if you ask your AI how to train it then it will tell you .

By the way a great place to get free public domain text files for training is Project Gutenberg. But, please do not use bots there as it can encumber their server, if you do use a bot then set it to pause for a decent duration between downloads.

I know, I am just pointing this out because christians quite often pretend that there is a law that prevents them from praying in school. Which is absolutely false. In fact they legally cannot be stopped from praying in school, and they know that. They are just mad because now they cannot have the teacher force their religious ideas on others that do not have the same beliefs they have. A lot of times people that do not live in America think that we have such laws and do not realize they have been duped by the christians.

I understood that it was a fortune quote no worries there. Though the lolcat is mad at you for forgetting about them!

There is no federal ruling against prayer in school. This is yet another attempt to play the victim attacked by a cruel society that is against them, yet they consist of over 80% of our society, go figure?

The ruling states that public schools had to stop forcing students to participate in prayers that are contrary to their belief systems. Hmm, that does seem like a pretty vicious attack now does it not? America passed a ruling stating that christians (or any other religion) could not force others to participate in their rituals in public schools, and they feel victimized? You can pray all you want in school and no one can legally stop you. You just cannot force others to pray with you. It seems fair enough to me but then again what do I know?

There is nothing wrong with using vim-plug. It just does not do anything for me as I write most of my own plugins. The main reason to use vim-plug is for keeping plugins updated. Today, that is moot, as even tpope has not updated a vim plugin in over 4 years. I tend to hard fork the plugins I like best and maintain them myself. So a plugin manager is not required.

Yes, with low ram your options are rather limited. I find it is best to train your own LLM though that requires a significant GPU. At the very least an RTX 3060i or equivalent. You just have to be careful what open source, or your own source you train the LLM on. As there are a lot of low quality projects. Train with a bunch of low quality code, get low quality suggestions.

Though I mainly use AI for an Intel-sense level of auto completion. Having an AI write actual code is very risky. With anything even slightly complicated you are bound to do more debugging than it is worth. It would be less effort to just write it from scratch yourself.

I have no issue with AI, the technology, I have been working on it since 1986. The development of LLMs, artificial neural networks has certainly been a game changer. Though I am not any part of the obsession to make huge server farms that power AI Instances to provide services for mobile devices, or any device you want to hook to them. I use only local AI that I work on, or those that collaborate with me work on.

One very disturbing issue for me is that people cannot make a distinction between AI, the technology, and services provided by corporations. There is a huge difference. For instance I do not train my AI on copyrighted material stolen on the internet. I train them on open source, public domain resources and my own content.

I use ComfyUI (generative AI) to make assets, and just to have fun. I use only checkpoints and loras trained on public domain content, and yes, you can check this. I have used LLMs that I have trained to turn vim on my machine into a full blown IDE (not that it was not already). There are many practical implementations of AI that does and will enhance all of our lives. That does not mean I support corporate server farms trying to inject AI into all aspects of our life, need or want it or not. On the other hand I do not feel that it is fair for people to be judging AI for what corporations do. Should I judge fire for what arsonist do? Should I judge antibiotics by their current abuse in agriculture?

It is an old technology that we have been working on for decades. With great success in recent decades. It is not SLOP it is valuable technology when used appropriately. AI should not be held accountable for the way corporation misuse it for monetization. Corporations should be held accountable for their actions. Not the millions of developers that have diligently worked to hone a technology that is quite valuable.
