Hey, folks. If you're on this list, you're some of the folks I've followed the longest around here, and you matter to me.

It's been a day--week, year, etc., and not just for me--and I just want to throw you a little hello.

In a totally platonic, non-creepy, compassionate way--don't make it weird!--I love you. I mean it, I chose your name out of my list on purpose.

If you're having a hard one, too, know that there's someone out here in the cyber-land who smiles when they see your name come up in their feed, and who hopes you're doing alright. You're a bright spot in my world, and I wanted you to know.

If you're seeing this and you're *not* on this list, well maybe we just need to know each other a little better. I hope you're doing well, too.

@zazzoo Fetterman's no fucking Democrat. It stuns me that US political parties don't seem to have any mechanism at all for saying, "that's it, you're out of the party". Is it just because they're hoping he'll vote with them on occasion? Dudes! He's making you look bad, and he's not the only one!

@canadianglen I'm glad Jim Henson and Fred Rogers aren't around to see this day.

A terrible loss, but an important principled stand, and I salute them. I just wish we weren't waving goodbye.
