Or at least that's the idea - there's also been so much noise on that hashtag and so many cases of abuse that many admins are ignoring it nowadays.

@cepharum Recall that everything that Hitler did was protected by German law and always within the legal limits. Before you reply, I'm not claiming that the current German law today is like the law in Naz Germany. Arguing against that would be missing the point.
I'm saying that following the law as the bare minimum is not nearly enough to be a decent human. Up until not so long ago (2006 if I recall correctly) it wasn't illegal for a husband to rape his wife. Germany considered it legal that a man could force his wife to have sex with him even when she didn't want to. But if you were friends with such a married couple before 2006, and if you were a decent human being, you would help the woman and shun the man, even when there was no law yet prohibiting rape among two married people.
You should suspend that propaganda troll. As many other instances have already done.
Current German law makes it explicitly clear that not just the denial of the Holocaust is illegal in Germany, but the denial of ALL genocides and all war crimes is illegal in Germany.
As instance moderators you have a responsibility to block genocide deniers from violating German law on your platform.

I didn't do anything.
I just stumbled upon the issue, checked, and found the account gone.
Sometimes you need to give people some time to evaluate an issue, they're possibly not entirely familiar with.

Happy to see that berlin.social has gone above and beyond what is required by German law to suspend an anonymous and antisemitic Zionist account (@hydra4455@berlin.social) that was engaged in harassing people voicing their opposition to Israel’s ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people on the fediverse.
This account is just one of many following the same tactic of replying to posts with Zionist memes before blocking the original poster (so they can’t reply, etc.) and then unblocking them later so they can continue their harassment. (Rinse, repeat.) They will, no doubt, create new accounts on different servers. Please be vigilant and report + block on sight.

@JimmyB @fabio I guess they see nothing wrong with hosting an anonymous antisemitic account harassing people who oppose Israel’s ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people by posting antisemitic replies and then blocking the person they are replying to.
Probably time to issue a #fediblock for berlin.social for antisemitism.
(These Zionist hasbara accounts are founded on the antisemitic conflation that all Jews are Zionists and thus all Jews support Israel and its ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. You can even see the antisemitic symbolism in the person’s username: hydra.)
