Remember "don't print this email" in signatures that was a bit cringe? It doesn't feel that cringe anymore in retrospect. I'm doing an experiment now with this new email signature πŸ˜„ Anyone doing something similar? Could it catch on?

edit: BTW please absolutely steal/modify this idea if you want!

@mntmn Only a few days ago I learned how real this impact is: xAI has set up 18 temporary turbines less than a mile from my neighborhood, which will soon expand to 41 permanent turbines. This site exists in the middle of several residential areas and the physical damage from the pollution (cancer, heart attacks) increases based on proximity.

Here is a website with more information: https://stopxai.org/ and here is a local news article: https://wreg.com/news/local/xai-seeking-permit-for-41-gas-turbines-in-southaven/

@mntmn *Let's. Or are you worried about the cost of storing all those bytes for those apostrophes?

@mntmn however, lately some customers would have done better to just send their prompt over, so that’s that

@mntmn then it should be put AT THE TOP OF THE MESSAGE IN ALL-CAPS – because nobody reads those sigs. and so-called "legal disclaimers" at the end of messages are also just wasted bandwidth, space and energy.
