@ncoca I don't actually know, this is not my field at all. I just know Substack is bad

@ncoca @ebooksyearn send anyone who wants to do this my way. (adrianna at outpost.pub) we’ve helped dozens of substacks move to ghost and outpost. Should probably write it up.

If the Nazi stuff doesn’t work, tell them they can make more money if they don’t give Substack 10%

@ebooksyearn It is utterly extraordinary that you even have to utter those words

@ebooksyearn I realized that each (unpaid) substack has an rss feed and can be read in full without clicking. For creators with whom I carry no clout, this seems like a way to consume their output without supporting substack in any way... what do you think? any angles I'm missing?

(I do also try to get substackers to migrate!)

@combs following the RSS probably still shows as a metric in their dashboard so it is some level of support. But it's small enough that I wouldn't get upset about it. Others might

@ebooksyearn I figured their CDN isn't doing access.log, most don't seem to (hence the rise of js stuff like Omniture, then GA) ... but that is a very good point—thanks!!

I wish we could get @heathercoxrichardson.substack.com off that platform - but 2.7 million followers IS a lot.
