I was starting to come up with a great plan! Estimating about 30 liters, which is about 400kg, which our floors could handle, and the price would be comparable to a bathroom remodel
@saraislet I said you can have Galinstan, but you didn't like a liquid that wets surfaces.
You know, like water? The stuff regular fountains are made of?

Wait I want to hear more about this planWhat kind of pump do you need? How tall and how wide is a 30L mercury fountain? Were you thinking one spout or many? How will you keep out contaminants? Are there reactions you need to worry about?

@saraislet As a, admittedly reluctant, user of a mammalian nervous system I'm not sure that load bearing capacity is the primary constraint when it comes to plans involving domesticating 400kg of mercury.
There's just something about methylation being the only thing between you and horrible death that inspires a certain amount of caution.
