@julieofthespirits ICE had better learn how to bring people back from the dead if they really want to make reparations! Lacking that, I agree: Make them bring back and unify families. And then put every ICE, DHS, and Border Patrol agents in jail - along with everyone who gave them their orders. All the way to the top.

@julieofthespirits I agree. Obviously ICE and DHS need to be defunded, disarmed, and disbanded, but that's not nearly enough. The USA needs comprehensive immigration reform: a return to the open immigration we used to have, combined with a general amnesty for all immigration violations.
Anything less is just a continuation of the status quo.
None of this shit should have been illegal in the first place!

Yes! One milquetoast political ask that needs to go mainstream is that every person abducted by ICE without due process (all of them) should get a fast-track to citizenship if they want it.

@Quasit ICE has killed some people but far more are the people whose lives they have ruined, but there's still a chance to make things right in the future. A deportation is not death, and a lot of people are talking about them like they're dead, they're not! There's still an opportunity to do right by them!

@julieofthespirits @Quasit my point is it's far more than 9 and it's already extremely bad (and will need hugely extensive reparation if it ever comes to that, though given US history this would be surprising), not just starting to happen, and not that 'people are dead already who cares' or what you thought I was saying?
I'm not American so there's not much fighting I can do from here, but I can try to be aware and address the biases like those being raised around people only mentioning recent white victims.
