Urgh. I am *still* feeling like hammered dogshit. Coughing, sneezing, going through Kleenex like I own stock in 'em, and I still have basically no voice. I've slept most of the day.
I was over this, dammit. Then I had to go out and shovel and chip, and when I came back in, my throat was like a blast furnace and everything boomeranged on me. Still had shows to do, so those had to go on, and I just bulled my way through. Ever since I've been shuffling around in my robe, croaking, and mewing for cups of tea. I haven't even been able to watch movies or play my #BaseballSim .
Nurse said it was not strep, not flu A or B, and not CoViD. So it is my own special personalized version of viral hell-crud. Yippee. #UpperRespiratoryVirusesReallySuck #IHateMyMiserableLife

Or just put your fist in the air and yell #FuckTheFascistsUpdate: Wife-2 got me an emergency visit to my doctor (NP, really), where I croaked and whined and bitched and whimpered. She said, "Oh, yeah, you definitely got that," and thankfully hauled out the real drugs. (Very grateful to Wife-2 for finding me this doc, though I'm really seeing the doc's NP. NP knows the assignment.)
Anyway, less achy now, a bit more energy now, but not yet out of the woods. Had to cancel shows for last night and tonight (for the first time in a couple of years), so I really won't like getting hit by the lack of revenue - but it was likely better than continuing to be a #jackass and powering my way through each one. I mean, I didn't get any tips for my last show because I literally could not make any noise when I asked the crowd for tips at the end of the show. #medicine #recovery #virus -
