@jeridansky @FediTips I don’t want to blur the good stuff either. I am particularly grossed out by seeing his face (and others of his ilk). But I’ll just scroll faster if the only way around it is through it.

@firefly Maybe you can filter on words that usually accompany the photos. But I know that might be tough.
Or follow fewer people whose posts contain his image. (Or put those folks in a separate list and have them not included in your main timeline.)

There's nothing specifically for photos, but you can filter out posts that mention particular words, phrases, links, hashtags or emoji: https://fedi.tips/filtering-your-timeline-to-hide-posts-on-mastodon/

@b_cavello But if people are just linking to a news article on a website, and the image comes from the article preview, there isn't any alt text, is there? Unless people purposely add an image which will then replace the article preview photo, which I know some folks do.
