@petersuber #ICE being hated by the vast majority of #Americans is demoralizing, and being called #Gestapo stings. But that’s nothing compared to #ICE agents like a lifetime of being shunned by their children and grandchildren. They can ask elderly #Nazi collaborators what *that* is like!

This is a very important point.

These guys ingest a constant stream of Fox News and very radical podcasts. They are surrounded with messaging they are brave and virtuous and defending the country.

This is not to forgive them. They are responsible for their actions.

But, they're also targets of a concerted propaganda campaign to which they are very susceptible due to their backgrounds and racist beliefs.

Breaking these myths they have embraced is a key strategic goal.
