@dansup friendica is horrible. just horrible, the other apps are great, but still have weird flaws. like in mastodon, if I see a post that is really really really really long it takes forever to scroll past it, especially if this person spams. there is no "see more" text to a long text. and in mastodon just replying to you, is a small window to the left of the post.
peertube won't won't without money for the creators, somehow.

@dansup LinkedIn → ? Someone should do that, just sayin’
I found one a couple of weeks ago and made an account but lost the URL and it seems to be completely unsearchable.
Maybe someone else will post it in the replies but that isn't really a good sign.

@dansup sadly, friendica was badly broken when i tried it. and i thought one point of federating was you would only need one account on one service and you could interact with other services on the fediverse. is this not the case? i still dont know how it works because ive only tried to add ppl from bsky, and i guess thats not actually federated, so it requires a bridge i didnt want to mess with. i have a hard enough time finding friends on diff masto instances.
@makeitmythic@mastodon.social Bluesky uses a different protocol and isn't apart of the Fediverse without the @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy bridge what needs to go both ways.
When it comes to the Fediverse you sometimes need other accounts but it depends on the sort of experience you want, I work fine off a Microblogging account for most of my interactions, I use a software called Sharkey for more usability and it allows me to follow users off Loops, PixelFed, Mastodon, PeerTube or Lemmy but it's a little annoying / needs some work arounds to post onto Lemmy, PixelFed is easy to post my stuff onto as I simply need an image in the post. PeerTube and Loops are kinda a no go for them seeing my content even if I upload a video sadly but that's fine if you don't want to be a creator in that matter.
These systems like Loops are new or even in BETA so it'll take some time to make sure these work all together but it also depends on the people using it, if you feel like a feature is missing voice about it, see who has the same opinion, if you have tech knowledge code it. -

Oh wow. Okay, thst's just great!
When I opened Deltachat some time a ago, an email address was require. However I just tested this by installing DeltaChat on a LinuxPC and opened an account just by entering a nickname.
You're absolutely right, nothing is required at all. Thank you for pointing this out to me, I'll fix my post right away!
Thanks again. -

@makeitmythic@mastodon.social I really suggest that people don't crowd mastodon.social as feeds are chronological it gets flooded with stuff making it hard to get interaction. Also a key friend is hashtags they always help get things out there, interaction no matter what is a key thing as often posting into the void doesn't really do much.
Also to interact with a Lemmy community you simply mention that community as apart of your post and it'll be boosted onto it. -

@makeitmythic@mastodon.social Yes it's totally possible, Lemmy communities are completely followable along with the Lemmy users. Well they won't see any of your normal microblogging posts they can see your stuff boosted from mentioning the Lemmy Community.
3 people liking your post is still good, I don't often get likes but when people like, boost and comment on my posts I know that I've create and shared something where it needs to be and people want to hear it. In the end this is a space for communication and yes sometimes you're wrong place and the wrong time but other times it's just right. -
