@randahl They will understand a bit too late that the US depends also A LOT on Europe as a huge market. Too late guys, Europe has to move forwards and says 'bye 'to 'Dady'

US is run by the wealthy. When they see sales falling ... they tell their lackeys (politicians) to change tack.

Europe is in an abusive relationship with US
Theyโve been beating us up for a year and as we stand up against it, they assure it will not happen again
If we accept them back in, the abuse will recommence -

Keep in mind Trump is not good at math. He's never noticed this. That said, I suspect many European politicians didn't either -

Personally (as an European) I haven't had much respect for the worth of the USA towards human rights and lawfullness for the past 25 years almost. Under the MAGA network state movement this is obviously worse, but it didn't start there, and it will not suddenly improve when MAGA goes. But within European governments there are still a lot of determined Atlanticists. Rubio is obviously trying to give them a hand to continue to stall Europe's self reliance movement.

I think most Europeans disagree with this. Firstly, because of the brood called Republicans, we are not a part of each other and therefore do not belong together. Secondly, the Yanks will find out what it's like to stand alone if they set even one of their fat feet on Greenland.

Iโd say opinions from a month ago might have something to do with the change of face:
โThe Quinnipiac University poll, released Wednesday, found that 86 percent of respondents are against the U.S. using military force to acquire the Arctic island, which is part of NATO. Just 9 percent are in favor of such a move.โ
