    This is insane…

US Dollar share of global reserve currency has fallen to its lowest levels this century.

    It’s literally unprecedented.

@FluentInFinance Do you have a link to an article with the above? I'm struggling to find that specific graph on the Bloomberg website.

Germany is even thinking about getting its physical gold that is stored in the US out of there.

Entirely rational since the end of the Gold Standard.
Most of the current / brewing wars are down to people wishing to trade other than in USD.
Finance relies on confidence and who can have any confidence in the USA any more?
Actually, WHY in HELL did anyone have any in the first place?

Noticeable that Trump has shut up about eCurrency recently.

@FluentInFinance in this context, the US actions in Venezuela and Iran come into sharp focus. If the US were to have absolute control of Venezuela oil production, it can reestablish the US$ as de facto reserve currency. They don't need the oil domestically, but if they control the supply to the world, they can control the price, even selling below market value, effectively putting other oil producing nations out of business. Watch for the BRICS to quietly aid rebel groups in VZ

@FluentInFinance Not sure who made that graph, but Bloomberg itself has one at https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-10-01/dollar-slump-puts-share-of-foreign-reserves-at-30-year-low?embedded-checkout=true that shows it at 55%, not 40%. Still a remarkable drop, but not as dramatic as in your graph.

                                          This is insane…

US Dollar share of global reserve currency has fallen to its lowest levels this century.

                                          It’s literally unprecedented.

@FluentInFinance So, I have to ask: what is the play? How are they planning to profit from this? How does this help them launder money? What will they buy on the cheap and rake in profits or clean money?
