It would be my mom's 71st birthday #today but she died yesterday. She went out the way she wanted to. Lived at home until she had a fall on Friday, was taken to the hospital and refused treatment. She was grateful for every day she had and always looked for any little joys in life.

My condolences. It sounds like your mom faced her final hours with intention and courage. I didn't know her, but, to me, that says something about who she was.
