Interesting. Just wondering about the cumulative effect on them. When you read about soldiers in WW1 you learn about how they all went crazy from the gas exposure. That's in addition to the other physical health problems.

There are photos and videos of the children who were gassed today and absolutely insane. Their violence truly knows no bounds.

@alissaazar that's a gas canister gun. It won't kill you, but the irritant is capsaicin based. I grow extreme chilly peppers. And we're talking reapers. The secret is to drink milk, and keep a carton handy to wash out the eyes. Lactose breaks down capsaicin from pepper spray and gas canisters. You can't wear face coverings at protests UNLESS it for medical reasons, and an N95 mask minimizes capsaicin inhalation. Also don't touch your genitals. It hurts like a motherfucker. Ask me how I know.

Just reading so many accounts of people talking about rinsing out the eyes of their small children, or people who were there with their elderly parents who were vomiting as they were trying to get away

You shouldn't just put milk in your eyes for no damned reason because of bacteria, but at a protest where we're talking substances with several million SHU of capsaicin it's better than nothing. I have to wear gloves to handle my reapers, and I've gotten it in my eyes, and the milk does help alleviate that.

I've read advice over and over from medical professionals that specifically say NOT to use milk.

I’m so stuck on the amount of children teargassed. I cannot even imagine how traumatizing this must be.

There were so many children at the park earlier. There were thousands and thousands of people out. I didn’t see any children near the gate where I was standing but that didn’t even matter. The teargas reached the park, blocks away. More and more people are telling me their gas hardly worked.

Everything old is new again.

Do you want to be temporarily blinded at a protest by listening to doctor or do you want keep fighting and listen to a pepper grower who is telling you to put the damned milk in your eyes? I've specifically heard this from doctors who provide aid at protests. I've also known plenty of doctors who are gardeners.

Do what you like for your own part, I just felt it was better to counteract unsafe health advice. ‍️ Personally, I'll stick with water and avoid the infection.
