    @Some_Emo_Chick@mastodon.social Shouldn't the pilot be focused on making sure the flight is safe. If it's dangerous to use your phone while taking ground transit, it's certainly dangerous in the sky!

      @Some_Emo_Chick Wonder how much extra radiation he caught being at altitude during that!

        @Some_Emo_Chick The image depicts the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) in the night sky, featuring vibrant green and purple streaks of light. The aurora displays dynamic, flowing patterns against a dark backdrop with scattered stars. The lower portion shows a greenish horizon, possibly a body of water or land. In the bottom right corner, the text "Matt Molloy" is visible.

        A nighttime landscape featuring the aurora borealis with vibrant green, purple, and pink light trails illuminating the sky, set against a dark horizon and a starry background. The aurora displays streaky, blurred patterns indicative of long-exposure photography, with green lights prominent on the right and purple/pink hues on the left. The lower portion shows a dark, flat terrain. In the bottom right corner, the text "Matt Molby" is visible.

        A nighttime aerial view of a landscape under a sky filled with the aurora borealis. The aurora displays vibrant green, purple, and pink vertical light streaks across the dark sky, with scattered stars visible. Below, the terrain shows a mix of dark and light patches, including what appear to be roads or settlements with small lights. The text "Matti Melnyk" is present in the bottom right corner.

        @altbot @Some_Emo_Chick More accurate alt:

        Photographs of the aurora borealis as taken from the cockpit of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner in flight by pilot Matt Melnyk. Shades of green and purple ripple across the sky above a distant view of Canada below.

              @Some_Emo_Chick now that I think about it, the Aurora Borealis sounds like something a fantastical sci-fi author would make up, just to have images like this
