Hey fedi, are there ways we can like, help ppl migrate to better alts? Easy to tell ppl to move, not so easy for them to get started.

@tiefling i don't know what to tell people to move to
i like mumble for voice comms but you need to run a server, and it's only really good at voice

@owls Yesh I mean I have not used Discord for a long time but I dunno that anything else rly does all that it does.

@Varyag Hn, are they decentralized or just different? Curious.

@tiefling@bardicperspiration.club just different, for now. I'm investigating their website now, they're European-independent developed, the code seems partially open source, and while it isn't federated, it seems you can self-host.
Now the hard part, if I move over there and it works fine, will be taking people over to the other side. -
