    if only this were sharp… i found out much later that there was a dust partical on my sensor, making autofocus wonky. i had been wondering about that, many photo opportunities lost 😞

      @moiety Lovely! The upright alert posture reminds me of our Green-backed Tit in the Himalayas (we do not have Blue Tit here). The pink lichen is also very striking.

                      birds flying away from you generally don’t make v nice photos, and this is no exception, but i did enjoy seeing the water droplets jump off the bird’s back. plus seeing a bird take off from the water never gets old.

                        birds flying away from you generally don’t make v nice photos, and this is no exception, but i did enjoy seeing the water droplets jump off the bird’s back. plus seeing a bird take off from the water never gets old.

                        highlight of today’s bird outing must surely be this gorgeous kingfisher. i was hurrying home at this point so i didn’t get as much time as i wanted, but a local birder told me it perches here more often. so i’ll check back on some other days for some more shots.
