    @wakame

This is what, in math, I would call an "unmotivated algorithm" it models the situation but fails to provide any insight into why it is happening.

@futurebird I think he's just a eugenicist and thinks it is good if the "weak" get culled by easily preventable diseases

@waitworry @futurebird That and he’s one of the chosen ones with special knowledge. Because he is one of the chosen ones, he, and others like him, will survive the cull, which will make humanity better.

So who are the other three?

I think I know who "War" is.

I have *tried* to understand RFK's perspective and more than any of these people nothing he does even makes much sense. There is a theme of cutting support for the general public. A kind of DIY (DIE) health care theme.

But, he seems to really think he's doing something coherent and I can't make any sense of it.

@futurebird I'm not entirely sure, but grifting (selling "wellness" products), an unacknowledged belief in eugenics, the idea that public health is more about individual choices and responsibility than group efforts and responsibility to the whole, and an overdeveloped skepticism of existing science that partially derives from the former traits.

At least, that seems to explain a lot of his behavior to me. Basically, a wholly unqualified person for the authority and responsibilities he's been given.

I often think RFK is the most dangerous of the bunch.

Did the worm eat his capacity for understanding that other people are also people? What part of the brain is that?

The typical things that we think of as "unintelligent" such as not knowing big words, or not understanding complex algorithms don't really stand out that much to me.

I'm a short person and I need a step stool to reach a high shelf. Some people need that if they are dealing with a complex task.

What brings out my disgust is these dudes who are basically short, but say "Oh I can reach the top shelf" and they just *can't.* Then there is emergency and everything breaks.

The Behind the Bastards episodes about him help explain some of it, but it still doesn't make sense. Ultimately it was his choice to be arrogant about medical science and it wasn't a rational choice.

What the four horsemen imagery shows is that the writer did have a good insight into how you destroy a society. These four, nothing else, will destroy a nation.

And yes, the current US administration is enacting all of them, deliberately.

The other day, he was saying that a keto diet cures schizophrenia - and looking at him, I think he's been trying to cure himself for a while. To no avail.

@Remittancegirl I remember reading this Reframe essay a while ago, and I think he might be on to something. If public health is a matter of taking personal responsibility for boosting one's own immune system, it becomes very easy to sort people into livers and diers, and the diers, by dying, are proving that they never deserved to live. If you're guided by supremacy, it's not a problem that people suffer and die, I suppose. @futurebird @cwebber @cstanhope

I have *tried* to understand RFK's perspective and more than any of these people nothing he does even makes much sense. There is a theme of cutting support for the general public. A kind of DIY (DIE) health care theme.

But, he seems to really think he's doing something coherent and I can't make any sense of it.

@futurebird I assume whoever pays him the most and promises to shill his ideas and stuff gets the most support from him. In some cases he knows better (environmental policy, I would assume). In others (medicine/health) he's an ignorant shit and just rattles off a bunch of nonsense. It's all about the in-group, what's trendy with the targets, fads.
He's got the fucking food babe feeding him complete lies. Probably asking chatgpt which is also regurgitating all the quacks' views ever. Just a shitstorm.
