@APBBlue If you haven't seen this, this piece on someone who kept writing fake letters is something:

@marcoshuerta lol, I haven't seen that.

@APBBlue (I have a sneaking fondness for advice columns myself, even though the vast majority of inquiries could be answered with "just learn to say no to people")
@jalefkowit I need that reminder myself!

@FlockOfCats Ha, yes! I just remembered that right before you responded.
Also this prompted me to check in on Dan Savage / Savage Love, and Iβm pleased to report he is going strong and stil answering questions about pegging

My Guilty Pleasure (TM) is reading advice columns. Any advice (lol) on where to satisfy this desire that isn't the Washington Post?
@APBBlue have you read Tiny Beautiful Things? It's collected letters and responses from Cheryl Strayed's advice column. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

@APBBlue I thoroughly enjoy the no nonsense Carolyn Hac and Miss Manners. I search for and find non paywall sites for them. Refuse to pay for the Post. Dumped them for good unless thereβs a change of ownership and courage and professional commitment to sanity and the accuracy.

@APBBlue @jalefkowit and the rest of them are "have you tried talking to them about this?"

@intrepidhero I have not, but thanks for the recommendation! I really enjoyed "Wild."

@APBBlue If you subscribe to Apple News you get access to a smattering of advice columns. And yes, I am drawn to them.

@APBBlue @jalefkowit
I finally learned how to say no to people when I was a couchsurfing host! Nearly all of my experiences were delightful, but a few folks had pretty bizarre requests when they were asking to stay with someone for free. -
