    @catsalad When I was like 12 or 13 I modified one of those locks to be the power button thinking it would be so cool to have a computer that could only be turned on with a lock. The rest of my family unfortunately, didn't think so.

        @catsalad as the label said all it does (assuming it is actually wired up to the motherboard at all) is stop input from the keyboard. Pointless even in that era.

                  @catsalad make sure you rev the processor a few times to make sure the the bits are sufficiently warmed up and circulating.

                  A cold boot especially in the snowy winter months is a lot of strain on the machine

                            @monsieuricon @catsalad Actushually, it injected nitric oxide (NOX) into the southbridge, which was then shunted to the CPU via specialized PCB channels.

                            Which anyone who actually built a homebrew computer in the 80s would know.
