"It could falter..."
Quicker the better...
Maybe what they've wasted money on trying to convince us all to waste ours could be put to use doing that finding new antibiotics they promised but have nothing about

@GossiTheDog No. I do not want to adopt your ugly baby.

@GossiTheDog I am so confused by those AI bros. It is like they have absolutely no clue how the world works?
They seem to be stunned that people don't like faulty, dangerous products. They have no clue that people have no money left for those nonsense products, which are causing chaos & more work, and who are also pissed that they are stealing data, human labour, destroying the environment and establishing a broligarchy.
And they are completely and utterly baffled that we don't love them.
@art_histories @GossiTheDog
>broligarchy
my stomach cringed at this lol -

@GossiTheDog @briankrebs And why the faltering of the “AI boom” is a bad thing?
-

@GossiTheDog what do they mean wider adoption? everyone out there is on chatgpt all the time.

Obscenely rich Ai bros to ordinary people: "Please buy our Ai crap so we can continue to be obscenely wealthy.
Thank you for your attention to this matter." -

@GossiTheDog The AI investment bubble / con reminds me of the dot.com bubble of the late 1990s but at a magnitude or two of scale larger.

@GossiTheDog what a load of bullshit. If people have to be forced to use it, it's hardly a boom.

@GossiTheDog You know how Cory Doctorow talks about "enshittification"?
I'd suggest we label Satya's and other's warnings like this as "nadellafication":
"We built this shitty tech that's right 60% of the time, and now your IT staff spends most of its days desperately fixing what's wrong 40% of the time. Why haven't you fully embraced it?"
-

@GossiTheDog This is framed as a warning but I’m taking it as more of a promise.

@art_histories @GossiTheDog the tech companies are pushing AI very hard, and some people seem unable to disagree with what they've been told.
So they accept that AI is as revolutionary as they've been led to believe, and in that context what skeptics say makes no sense.

@cy @GossiTheDog My Ponzi scheme also falters without wider adoption LOL.
@brezelradar @cy @GossiTheDog “broader global use is essential if technology is to deliver lasting growth”
“Usage growth is essential if technology is to have usage growth”
I mean, Bill Gates is an asshole, Steve Ballmer is a dickhead, but this guy is trying really hard to compete with both
-
@GossiTheDog Idiots. I hope they don’t run half of IT into a wall.
@promovicz @GossiTheDog
Don’t worry, it won’t be *half* of IT. It will be *all* of Corporate IT. -
@GossiTheDog LMAO 'This product will fail if more people don't start using it.' That's how it works! You make a shit product no one likes, people don't buy it, you stop making the product (see metaverse).
McDonalds CEO: Our new shit burger may falter if more people don't buy it
@mainframed767 @GossiTheDog
Bad example.People still buy shitty McDonalds burgers.
The only people buying the garbage marketed as “AI” are people who think they can liquidate all their employees.
